For organizations facing a decision that matters. A new market, a reorganization, a strategy that's stopped working — we map the full territory of the choice before it narrows. This guide covers the investment and the terms of the work.
Scoped to the weight of the decision — and to how long you want a cartographer on the trail.
Two to three weeks on one live decision — options, assumptions, and trade-offs made visible on a map you keep. One decision per survey; the one you find beneath it is its own.
The survey, then the route: pathway design with sequenced, measurable commitments, and a navigation review ninety days on as conditions move. The whole journey, charted and walked.
A standing seat at the decisions that matter: a weekly touchpoint, counsel between them, and the map kept current as the territory moves. Never handed off, never diluted.
Returning clients receive locked rates, priority scheduling — and a survey fee that credits in full toward an expedition booked within ninety days. The map you paid for counts.
Refer a new client and receive a service credit of 10% of their first engagement — up to $2,500 — toward any decision cartographic offering.
Every engagement is delivered personally — no account teams, no hand-offs. We sell mapped decisions and standing counsel, not hours; extensions and additional work are quoted before they begin — see the terms below.
The essentials of how we work together. A signed agreement governs every engagement — this is the plain-language version of it.
Thirty minutes, free, and useful on its own. No intake forms, no discovery questionnaire, and no proposal until we've actually talked about the decision in front of you.
Every engagement is a fixed fee, scoped in writing before work begins. The survey: half at kickoff, half on delivery. The expedition: three installments — kickoff, midpoint, delivery. The residence: billed monthly in advance, on a quarterly commitment, then 60 days' notice. Rates are locked for the term of the engagement.
A survey maps the decision framed at kickoff. The decision you discover beneath it — there usually is one — is scoped as its own work. That's the method operating, not the meter running.
Board sessions, extra stakeholder interviews, and extensions are billed at $4,000 per day — agreed in writing before the work, never discovered on an invoice. We do not sell hours, and unused time is not a balance.
The survey includes up to six stakeholder interviews; the expedition up to twelve. Beyond that, additional interviews are quoted at scoping.
Included: a weekly touchpoint, a standing seat at consequential decisions, asynchronous counsel by email or text answered within one business day, and a quarterly map refresh. Not included: deliverable production, project management, or staff work — those are expeditions. Access holds a rhythm, not a balance; nothing rolls over.
Maps and route documents are delivered in writing and include one revision round. Client has ten business days to review; deliverables are deemed accepted after.
If the decision reframes mid-engagement — it often does — we re-scope in writing before continuing. Work performed is earned when performed.
Engagements are confidential by default, including the fact of the engagement. Deliverables are yours for internal use; our methods, frameworks, and templates remain ours, and neither may be used to train artificial-intelligence systems.
Fees effective july 2026 and reviewed annually — never repriced mid-engagement. This guide is informational; the signed consulting agreement and statement of work govern.
